Jail Inmate Reporting Rules

1.  You are given a time to report.  DO NOT BE LATE!  If you are more than fifteen minutes late, you will be refused and reported to the Court. Do not bring any items other than three paperback books and prescribed medical necessities. Park in the gravel parking lot south of the jail.

2. If you report to us while under the influence of any alcohol, drug, narcotic or any other substance, you will be refused and reported to the Court.

3.  If you are on any medications, you must comply with the following prior to reporting:

    1.  Your medications must be brought with you in a bubble pack with your name, medication and dosage clearly indicated, most pharmacies can do this.

    2.  If you require special medical equipment, we must have a fax sent to 620-382-3441 from your doctor detailing the proper use of your equipment and you must bring the device with you. NO EXCEPTIONS.

3.  If you are reporting for more than 72 hours you may be eligible for commissary privileges and allowed to purchase up to twenty dollars per week of approved items. You may bring money with you when reporting or someone may bring money for you during normal business hours 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

4.  If you go to the doctor while in our facility your insurance will be utilized. If you have no insurance you will be charged a $10.00 co-pay for doctor and $3.00 co-pay for each prescription.   We will not deny you medical care in the event you haven't any money to pay.

These guidelines are for the safe and efficient operation of the Marion County Jail. Do not expect any exceptions to these guidelines.
