RECYCLING UPDATE!

EFFECTIVE Friday, February 28th - The Transfer Station will be accepting recycling only on Friday mornings between 8:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.  (Bring your recycling inside the building.)

NO TRASH will be accepted in the building during those times.

Fort Riley has agreed to accept our recycling again, and there is a back-up facility in place if we need to haul somewhere else occasionally.  We understand that limiting times for accepting certain types of materials  may be inconvenient; however, we believe it is a workable solution to continue recycling during our demolition and construction project, which is slated to begin March 2nd.

At certain times, trash and/or recycling bins may be placed outdoors at the Transfer Station to accommodate the public during the project.  Please pay attention and follow any rules posted on the bins so that we can continue to provide those services for the convenience of our citizens.

It is our understanding that the cities of Marion and Hillsboro intend to continue curbside pickup of recycling.

The Marion County's Transfer Station

During the different phases of construction, please do not stop on the streets to watch workers. These street need to remain free of vehicles as they are heavily traveled by trash trucks and other vehicles.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
